Infant School & Nursery

Welcome to the Friends of Chilworth Infant School (PTA) Page

Here you will find out why we do what we do, when we do it, and quite importantly how we do it.    Firstly, if you are a parent of a child attending the school, you are automatically part of the PTA, and all PTA members are members of the Friends.   Furthermore, any relative, past pupil or local person can request to become a member of the Friends in order to offer support to the school.

Our aim is to further enhance our children's education and enjoyment whilst at Chilworth School.  We do this by:

  1.  raising funds to help the school provide extra resources for the pupils
  2.  running social events for parents and children; providing an opportunity for people  to meet and get to know each other and have fun
  3. providing support for school trips and outings and other special events

Every year we accept responsibility for funding the swimming pool, children use this every day in the summer term, and it is open in the summer holidays for existing children and those starting school in September.

We also subsidise school trips, provide the school with a dipping in fund, for those little extras and fund the Christmas festivities.

In recent years, the Friends have also helped fund a  variety of things around the school including the extended Outdoor Classroom Area outside Blue and Red Class and Pool Equipment and Refurbishment.

Please come and support our events. If you would like more information please see the Friends' noticeboard in the school entrance lobby or look at the Friends News in the School Newsletters. We also have a Friends Facebook page – Chilworth Infant School Friends. Simply ‘like’ the page and you will receive updates via Facebook of what’s happening.

If you shop on the Internet, please consider using so that the school receives commission. Many thanks.

2017 Duck Race

This year's Duck Race was enjoyed by our School Community and the local Villages. We all had a lovely day and also raised funds for our school.
