Why Choose Our School?

'Pupils' personal development is a very strong feature'
- OFSTED Report

Our aim is to provide a safe, caring, Christian environment where every child develops a love of life and learning in an environment which values the needs of the individual and promotes positive self-esteem.

We aim to achieve this by:

  • Providing a broad and balanced curriculum which excites and stimulates their desire to learn
  • Encouraging children to make a positive contribution by developing their confidence and responsibilities as citizens of the future in an increasingly technological age
  • Providing a social and moral environment in which each child respects the views, feelings and beliefs of others
  • Encouraging children to make choices that will keep them safe and healthy
  • Celebrating successes and encouraging children to seek the highest possible standards, whilst also having the confidence to risk failure
  • Ensuring all staff are given the opportunity to develop professionally.

Chilworth Church of England Infant School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

It supports the Guildford Diocesan ethos statement relating to church schools.

What Chilworth School can offer you:

  • A sound education in basic literacy and numeracy but so much more besides, plus a good dose of fun!
  • A high adult to child ratio
  • Well trained and dedicated teaching and support staff
  • A school that serves everyone whether Christian, of a different belief or of no belief - all are welcome
  • A school committed to working in close partnership with parents, governors, neighbours, former pupils and families to enable us to give each child the best education possible
  • A modern spacious building with excellent facilities (including heated swimming pool) on a wonderful site
  • A place where all members of our 'living community' are valued as individuals be they parent, child or member of staff.
